Text Messaging Terms
Effective October 13, 2026
PickUp Health, Inc. ("PickUp Health") provides text messaging for healthcare providers that use our services. Providers use it to text their patients and caregivers who have agreed to receive messages. Most messages are sent in the provider's name, and the provider's own text messaging terms and privacy policy also apply to them. PickUp Health may also send a few service messages in its own name, such as enrollment confirmations. These terms describe the program, PickUp Health Care Messages, and form part of our Terms of Service.
How you opt in
You receive our texts only after you agree to them, in one of two ways:
- Through your healthcare provider. When your provider enrolls you, you give the provider your mobile number and agree, on a written or electronic consent form, to receive text messages from the provider, sent through PickUp Health. The consent language appears below. Agreeing is optional and is not a condition of receiving care.
- By texting first. If your provider gives you a number to text and you text it, we reply once to ask you to confirm. You are enrolled only after you reply YES.
Either way, our first message confirms your enrollment, names your provider, and tells you how to get help and how to opt out.
Example messages
Service messages, like the enrollment confirmation, come from PickUp Health. All other messages come in the practice's name. The practice and dates are fictional.
